In-Person PsychotherapyGrowth and change are a constant and exciting part of being alive. However, change is rarely smooth. It can alternate between periods of pain and ease. However, this change can manifest as a call to become more conscious of your personal evolution, and you can become more active in shaping its course.
If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, intimate partner violence, family conflict, grief, HIV/AIDS, sexuality, relationship difficulty, self-esteem, stress, or anything else that has had an impact on your life—I would encourage you to take that first step and reach out. My holistic, life-affirming approach considers the following components: clarify the problem, identify successful interventions, generate effective coping strategies, and support the emotions that accompany change. We will strive to bring positive change by putting you in charge of your experience. Every day, I work with teenagers and adults and use a wide range of treatments—cognitive behavioral therapy, brain spotting, psychoanalysis, and components of internal family systems. It’s easy to feel like you’re alone in the struggles, fears, and questions you face. You are not alone; in fact, you are in the company of most people. |
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) is a revolutionary approach to mental health treatment. KAP combines the therapeutic potential of ketamine with guided psychotherapy, providing a safe space for individuals to explore challenging emotions and experiences. Research shows that ketamine can lead to rapid improvements in mood and functioning, often within hours of administration. This treatment is particularly beneficial for those struggling with treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, anxiety disorders, and more. During KAP sessions, clients experience altered states of consciousness that facilitate emotional processing, helping to uncover insights that traditional therapies may not reach.
Building Rapport
Before beginning KAP, I prioritize establishing a strong therapeutic rapport with our clients - often, this can take months. This foundational relationship is crucial for effective treatment, ensuring clients feel safe and supported throughout their journey. A trusting relationship enhances the therapeutic experience and allows for deeper exploration during ketamine sessions.
Treatment Structure
To fully benefit from KAP, we typically recommend a course of 6-8 sessions. This structure allows clients to engage deeply with their therapeutic process and maximize the potential for meaningful change.
Cost of Treatment
It's important to note that the cost of KAP is not typically covered by insurance. I recommend discussing payment options during your initial consultation to ensure you understand the investment required for this transformative treatment.

InvestmentIf you are considering therapy and plan to use insurance, it’s essential to know that I am primarily a private-pay provider. This means I do not bill most insurance companies directly, allowing me to provide a more personalized and flexible approach to your care, free from the restrictions and limitations often imposed by insurance, such as session caps or mandated diagnoses. However, I do accept HealthChoice Insurance and can bill them directly.
I am considered out-of-network for other insurance plans, but I can provide a detailed receipt, known as a superbill, for you to submit to your insurance provider. Depending on your plan, you may be eligible for reimbursement. I recommend you check with your insurance company to understand your out-of-network benefits. Therapy is most effective when clients see their sessions as a meaningful and essential part of their lives. For many, the financial investment reflects the value they place on this transformative process. Clients often experience faster and more profound personal growth and positive change by prioritizing therapy and committing to the associated costs. The fee for my service is $170 for a 50-minute session and $220 for couples therapy. For payment, I accept cash, FSA, HSA, and major credit cards at the time of service. Choosing a private-pay practice gives you greater flexibility and confidentiality while allowing us to focus solely on your needs and therapeutic goals. Cancellation Policy I ask clients to give at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. The session can be rescheduled without charge if notice is given within this time frame. However, cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will result in the full session fee of $170 or $200 being charged. |
